Mind and Body Health Are Connected

My parents were very health-conscious when I was growing up and they taught me all about healthy eating and exercise. I also avoided bad daily habits and never smoked cigarettes or overindulged in alcohol. Due to my commitment to my physical health, I was very surprised when I developed a blood pressure problem. My doctor told me that, since I lived an otherwise healthy lifestyle, I must have too much stress in my life. I have to admit that she was right, although I had never realized just how our minds can impact our bodies so much. Even more discoveries have since been made about how your mind affects your body, and I find that amazing. I now try to stay upbeat and positive, and my health has improved. I decided to share my story to help others and plan to post many more health tips on my new blog!
